Most of us believe that it is the external events in our lives
that are the source of our reactions. This is simply not true.
It is the illusion that the masters have told us about for
millennia. The fact that we share this illusion with most
of mankind does not make it less of an illusion
We know to be upset by various triggers, because we have learned
emotional meanings of and responses to those things by our
experiences in the past. We then hold onto to our meanings
and emotional reactions, usually forever. They harden into
attitudes and points of view.
 |
The
effect of our attitudes is shown in the stress they generate
in our bodies. All thoughts generate energy. Certain thoughts
generate energies that are harmful to us and lead to disease
and suffering, while other thoughts lead to health and
well-being. Acceptance, tolerance, mercy and forgiveness
have a calming and strengthening effect on the body, while
hate, envy, fear and condemnation create stress and distress
in the body. |
Stressful
reactions have their impact on the body slowly. Think of the
fabled “Chinese water torture”: the effect of
water slowly dripping on your forehead can drive you crazy.
Our tendency to respond to various situations and events in
the same way over and over gradually influences the energy
of our being, distorting it or calming it depending on the
nature of the thoughts we think.
Eventually the distortions in our energy system become increasingly
discordant, we become “stressed out”, and experience
physical and emotional discomfort or “dis-ease”
Long term, or intense stress causes an exhaustion of our natural
healing energies, and we succumb to disease. Stress reactions
are always and only the end result of interpreting the world
in ways that are harmful to us. All illness, physical or mental,
is a product of the mind
In the first half of this 3-hour workshop you will learn about
the eight ways of looking at the world that cause stress and
ultimately lead to illness. You will learn which of the eight
ways you tend to use most. You will learn which attitudes
can be used to truly make stress and suffering unnecessary.
In the second half of this workshop you will learn how to
activate a sequence of meridian points that activate the healing
power of forgiveness (Remember the old saying: To err is human,
to forgive is Divine) so that you can defuse any stressful
reaction that you currently experience. You will leave with
a simple yet robust tool that gives you the power to reduce
anxiety, anger, jealousy, shame, rage, guilt, hurt grief and
more no matter what the external trigger is. The bottom line
is you will be empowered to not be a victim of anything outside
of yourself. Join us and learn what “optional”
is all about!
