Transcending our Personal Fall from Grace Workshop - Details
The biblical metaphor of Adam and Eve is a wonderful description of man’s current state of being: The story is: that they were cast out of the Garden of Eden because they failed to heed God’s warning. They ate from the Tree of Knowledge. They learned about good and evil. But the typical way of understanding this story is completely backward. Who needs God to reject you when you can do it so well yourself? When Adam and Eve discoved judgment, they judged themselves as shameful and unworthy to be in God’s sight. The moment they judged themselves they disconnected from Source. They cast themselves out of the Garden by their own condemnation. So what does this have to do with each of us? At some point in childhood, usually between the ages of 3-5, we are confronted with somoe sort of challenge that is more than we can handle at the time. Weconclude/realize that we are alone: the comfort and safety of our connection with our parents is lost. It could be almost any event, being reprimanded in some way, feeling guilty or ashamed of ourselves, feeling afraid, ignored, deprived, or offended. Whatever the event, we know that people or things are not on our side: they are not loving, protecting, and caring. At this moment the energetic pattern of "aloneness" or "fall from Grace" is initiated. This pattern is the essence at the core of all negative feelings. We feel alone and uncared for "damned" by our own or someone else’s failings and misbehaviors. If this were not bad enough our child self tries to make sense out of the situation we find ourselves in. There MUST be a reason we are alone. Next to the conclusion that we ARE alone, this reason is the most influential conclusion we make in our lives. It shapes and gives meaning to the rest of our existence. It is the touchstone of our awareness and after it is formed every subsequent event is flavored and colored by its presence: it is our reality and we know that it is true. Until we change it. This workshop is about undoing at an energetic and emotional level both of these conclusions.
