Attractor Field Therapy Interventions:
The Manipulation of Subtle Energies

Understanding Attractor Field Therapy (AFT) interventions requires stepping beyond the boundaries of traditional medical and biological thinking.  It requires first an acknowledg- ment of what science, medicine, and biology do not know: the nature of the energy of the life force and the role this energy plays in our health and well being.

Since the time of Darwin and Mendel science has looked at genes as the key to under- standing the mechanism of our physical well being.  More than simple Mendelian genetic transfer occurs at conception.  Life energies are merged.  Genes are not alive, do not contain life, and have no material impact outside of a living cell.  Placing genetic material from a living cell into a dead cell does not restore the dead cell to life.  Life is something other than genetic material.  Further, genes cannot explain the myriad different type of cells that a living organism comprises.  The genetic model only allows for perfectly identical cell reproduction or random mutations through chemical miscoding.  It cannot explain how every human being has skin cells, bone cells, white blood cells, red blood cells, liver cells, and so on.  Genetics cannot explain how arms and legs and heads regularly appear in the same places on all people.  The pharmaceutical and medical industries are based on, and more importantly, rely on a regularity among people that cannot possibly occur through genes alone.  If growth followed the rules of genetics alone, all creatures would be formless multi-celled blobs with no limbs, organs, bones, muscles or distinguishing features; virtual puddles of protoplasm.

Interestingly for the first day or two developing fertilized eggs to appear to follow genetic programming and then they begin differentiate, to form the placenta and the embryo. Within a couple of weeks the embryo is clearly recognizable, with the first hints of what will be the brain and spinal cord.  Within another week the heart is pumping fluid though blood vessels and the first red blood cells appear.  All of this occurs in such synchrony and precision that it is as if there exists a master conductor somewhere overseeing, orchestrating, and coordinating each intricate step.  Something miraculous happens.

If the master plan is not within the genes then where can we look?  Rupert Sheldrake (1981, 1988) has recently studied this problem and has proposed that species specific "morpho- genetic fields", or energy fields that influence physical form, are transferred along with genetic material at the instant of conception.  Sheldrake was not the very first to conceive of energetic forces as underlying physical morphology.  In one of the most ancient Chinese Acupuncture texts, the Su Wen, it is stated "That which was first in heaven is Qi, on earth it becomes visible as form. Qi and form interact giving birth to the myriad things." F. Mann, (1971, p. 47).  If there is truth in these contentions then where is the evidence in their favor?

The work of Charles Shang, M.D., (1996) is directly relevant.  Shang has studied the Meridian system using SQUID (Superconducting QUantum Interference Device) instru- mentation.  His work predicts that the first acupuncture points appear in embryos con- currently with the appearance of differentiation within the embryo.  His work further indicates that the Meridian system is a distinct signal transduction system that overlaps and interacts with the nervous and circulatory systems, but is not part of these systems.  He has found that Acupuncture points are singularity points (electromagnetic sinks or sources) and that Meridians are separatices that divide the body into domains of different electro- magnetic energy flow and intensity.  It is no accident that the highest concentration of Acupoints are found on the most curved and enfolded parts of the body.  Within physics it is known that time and space are altered or warped in the vicinity of singularity points.  For example, black holes are quantum singularities. (S. P. Zwart, Boston University Research Brief, November 4, 1999).  Noting the established role of electric fields in growth control and regulation, and his own observations, Shang sees the Meridian system as an evolutionary outgrowth of organizing centers which are high electrical conductance points on the body surface of amphibians through higher vertebrates; that the change of electrical activity at organizing centers correlates with signal transduction and precedes morphologic change; and, that as an intracellular transduction system the Meridian system is likely to have preceded all of the other physiological systems.  Shang's work finally indicates that the morphogenetic influence of the meridians does not end with birth, but rather continues throughout life.  This energetic influence is utilized therapeutically in both AFT and Acupuncture.

If the Acupoints and energetic pathways used in Classical Chinese Medicine and Acu- puncture are at the source of physical shape or form, and continue as the regulator of the nervous, circulatory, and immune systems, then what role do they play in illness?  What influences the Meridians in such a way that we are individually subject to illness?

Eric Kandel, MD, in his Nobel Prize winning (2000) research has conclusively demonstrated (1983) that the formation of memories changes the morphology of the nervous system itself. His work showed that the brain "rewires" itself in response to the memories it retains. Kandel's work demonstrated that the formation of memories turns genes on an off causing changes in physical form.  This is a monumental discovery truly worthy of the acclaim it has been awarded.  Thinking requires remembering.  Whenever we think, we activate the neural networks in the brain associated with our memories.  We activate the brain in a pattern and tone consistent with our normal way of looking at the world.  Kandel's work opens the door to enormous possibilities.  It seems likely that how and what we think about, how we react to all of the various stimuli of the world, directly influences our physical being.  There may be ways of thinking and responding that have predictably far better effects on our bodies. There seem to be ways of thinking and responding that are particularly harmful to the body. Therefore, there may be ways of positively influencing our health by using our brain to our body's best advantage.  We have brains and bodies, so why not use them in the best way possible?

David R. Hawkins, MD, Ph.D., (1995) in his monumental study of consciousness, Power Vs Force, notes that the physiologic consequences of emotions are well documented and have given rise the whole field of psychosomatic medicine.  Following Diamond (1979), Hawkins notes that attitudes, thoughts, and beliefs are also connected with the energy pathways used in Classical Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. That negative and malevolent thoughts are catabolic and physically weaken us, while accepting and benevolent thoughts are anabolic and strengthen us.

Hawkin's research indicates that the basic nature of the disease process is one in which the energy of our thoughts inadvertently influences our organs, physiology, nervous, circulatory, and immune systems through the influence of thought energies on the Meridians.  In Dr. Hawkins' model thoughts themselves produce the energies that disturb the normal energetic balance of the Meridians.  This can depress immune function, or directly generate a disease or dysfunctional process.  While each thought we think influences us energetically, it is the repetition of patterns of thinking, as well as, the intensity and tone of our thoughts that ultimately lead to the development of disease.  Frequently repeated thoughts, especially habitual highly emotional thoughts, can eventually result in an energetic pattern in the body that ultimately manifests as disease.  Once initiated the energetic disturbances underlying a disease process continues even if the initiating stimulus is terminated; it becomes a self perpetuating energy resonance.

The disease initiating energetic patterns of thinking are themselves the result of the energy of the brain's "hard wired" neural networks.  These neural networks act as systems of nonlinear attractors so that while an individual neuron appears to act in a random fashion, the overall system of which it is part does not act randomly (Li and Spiegel, 1992).  Each network generates its own energetic pattern or signature.  Being "hard wired", the energy pattern generated by a particular network is basically the same across all people, or animals.  Thus the energy of fear or anger, guilt or shame, despair or ecstasy is essentially the same from person to person.  Energetically the same thought patterns will result in essentially the same disease states across all people.  A recent PET Scan study at the Neuroscience laboratory of the University of Pennsylvania has demonstrated that across subjects the same brain regions are activated when test subjects are monitored while in states of religious ecstasy.  The religious or meditative practice used to achieve the state did not matter.  It was the experimenters conclusion that the brain is "hard wired" for experiencing states of religious ecstasy, that it is built into everyone.

While neural networks are typically activated by thinking or remembering, recent research by Cho, et.al. (1998) has led to a surprising discovery: when Acupuncture points are stimulated there is a corresponding activation of neural networks in the brain.  Thus, appropriately patterned stimulation of Meridian points can cause the brain to generate energy in a manner similar to thinking and remembering.  Cho's research points to a previously unknown method through which the stimulation of acupuncture points influences the body's biomechanics.  Not only does acupuncture influence the body through stimulating organ systems, it stimulates the nervous system via the brain.

Attractor Field Therapy is a very specific methodology that takes advantage of the neuro- stimulatory aspect of Acupoint stimulation.  Its interventions are designed to reverse the catabolic energy patterns of disease states.  These are the subtle energy manipulations of AFT.  Meridian stimulation is accomplished in AFT by either mechanical percussion of the specific sequences of Acupoints (tapping each point a specific number of times in order to appropriately stimulate neural network activity), or through the use of a proprietary form of electromagnetic field stimulation (Quantum Potential Interference Fields) utilizing specific frequencies for each of the Acupoints stimulated.  Separate sets of specific EM frequencies have been uncovered that stimulate both animal and human Meridian points.  Sets of these frequencies exist within the range of human hearing, thus allowing the patterns of Meridian stimulating frequencies to be digitally encoded as an audio frequency stream. Unfortunately, audio speakers are very inefficient generators of the specific EM field energies that actually stimulate the Meridians.  It is not the sound field that stimulates the Meridians.  Simply hearing the audio frequencies does not ensure treatment, therefore the subject must remain within a few feet of the audio speaker.  In order to increase the range of effectiveness of EM field treatments an antenna has been developed that enables treatment at a distance.  In animal studies, entire factory farms have been treated with a single field generator and antenna system.

Our research indicates that AFT formulas (specific patterns of stimulation) have the same impact on animals as humans.  Further, the same catabolic energy patterns found in humans have been found to underlie disorders such as pneumonia, bacterial skin infections, and Periocarditis in animals.  Kandel's historic research implies that attractor systems are present in all animals that possess a nervous system, no matter how primitive the organism. The energy of our nervous system has much in common with other species; nature does not reinvent the wheel, but rather builds on a good idea.

The stimulation of the appropriate pattern of Meridian points induces an energy state change within the Meridians leading to physical symptom remission.  In order to reverse the catabolic energy pattern underlying a specific disorder a particular AFT formula is applied a specific minimum number of times per day across a minimum number of days.  The timing of AFT formula application is especially important if the meridian points are manually percussed.  Application of AFT formulas via the EM field methodology allows for continuous treatment.  This is especially useful when treating disorders that require weeks or months to resolve, or when treating large groups of individuals simultaneously.

Summary

Attractor Field Therapy views manifest disease and chronic dysfunction as being the result of highly specific energy patterns encoded within the Meridians.  These energy patterns result from the energetic action of the brain's neural networks initiated by ongoing thought streams.  Disturbance of the normal Meridian energy frequencies and harmonics results in perturbations in and of the biophysical energies regulating the nervous, circulatory, and immune systems.  The energy of our thoughts ultimately induces energy state changes that result in manifest disease or dysfunction.

Attractor Field Therapy interventions take advantage of the subtle energetic discharge of the brain's neural networks accompanying Acupoint stimulation to induce specific energy state changes within the Meridians.  These energy state changes disrupt or neutralize disease and dysfunction related patterns, thus allowing for the reestablishment of normal biophysical functioning.  AFT interventions act as an "energy eraser", while the ultimate solution to health and well being lies in changing what is being authored and, therefore attracted; conscious and unconscious thought streams stemming from deeply held, core beliefs.
